Cool on Wheels - A community integration project
Over the past 2 years, Spaces Community has been involved in numerous community projects with ‘differently-abled’ people. Being different does not mean socially unacceptable. At Spaces, we believe that everyone is special and different. Whatever you are, we believe we can still live and play together, and work towards a common good.
Our next project welcomes anyone to have fun on wheels. Many of us are familiar with basketball games. However, not many have tried using a wheelchair. What about playing basketball in wheelchairs? Are you game? Winning team will roll away a cool cash prize of $1,000 and another $1,000 will be donated to any charity of you choice.
Spaces Community has initiated and sponsored all prizes for the ‘Wheelchair’ category. Draw & Dish will sponsor the registration fees of $70 for the 1st 10 teams that registered for the games.

We have adopted Handicaps Welfare Association (HWA) as our charity for the event. Wheelchair-basketballers from HWA train twice weekly at United World College (located at Dover Road) and will be pleased to coach you for free. If you require, wheelchairs will be provided for your training with HWA and for the games.
Take this opportunity to have a new start for 2007, meet new friends, learn new skills and have fun on wheels!
Anyone keen to go for a tryout?
